Our brief: The Emirate of Dubai was publishing a 10 year national strategy for the development of robotics and automation. 100%Open was briefed to bring together and facilitate the diverse stakeholders needed to co-create and achieve such an ambitious vision. 

What we did: We convened a series of Online Jams to define the Robotics and Automation (R&A)  vision and construct a roadmap towards its realisation. We convened top global R&A experts, designers, local industry leaders and government representatives and carried out two sets of Jams. 

What happened: The first Jams focused on understanding and working with predicted technology futures to create a 10 year vision for the Emirate, understanding the development ‘Vectors’ that will be needed to realise the vision. These were technology development vectors such as the need for robots to have better manipulative skills and capability vectors such as the need to train for the required future skill set. The second set of Jams focused on realisation of the vision in the form of a clear roadmap, showing how different Vectors will develop over the coming decade and how they interact. The Vision is due to be published later this year.
