The Answers Are Out There

“It’s not who you know, it’s who you don’t know”

Mark Sampson

There’s a connection problem with open innovation.

Innovators in big companies need to improve their innovation hit rate but it’s hard to locate new partners in the global fog. It occurred to us that this was a similar problem to that posed to air defences last century.  Radar was invented to spot aircraft in poor weather conditions and so we developed the Innovation Radar service in partnership with Associate Andrew Thomson.  We’ve  already delivered this successfully for the likes of LEGO, P&G and E.ON.

A smarter way

We set out to provide a smarter way to discover new technologies or partners. The service is driven by our Company Discovery Engine which is a unique web search system with a database of more than 100,000 companies including university spin-outs and venture capital-backed start-ups.  Our open innovation team help to frame searches, filter the results and interview potential partners to ensure the best possible collaborations.

What next?
We don’t normally blog about our products and services but we’re very excited about our new baby! If you’d like to find out more, please have a look here or else email us at hello@100open.com for more details.
