Paul has 2 great loves: butterflies and endangered languages. However, his career was to focus on neither. The 1991 Toepfer Decree (an aggressive series of mandatory recycling goals for Germany) led to Paul becoming heavily involved in “ecodesign”, which culminated in him being a sustainability and circular economy consultant today. In the last few years Paul became a Packaging Advisor at A Plastic Planet, founded the Sustainable Design Alliance and set up Circuthon Consulting, a management consultancy focused on circularity.
