Our brief: How can we involve people with cystic fibrosis in developing new treatments?

What we did: 100%Open and CFT co-created a strategy for involving many stakeholders in their innovation programme. We created the online Hack It Up crowd in order to innovate together and evidence a new user-focused approach. This community enables people with CF to communicate easily and is co-facilitated by 100%Open and a CFT staff member.

What happened: The Hack It Up crowd has uncovered dozens of insights into the practicalities of living with CF, including how to keep active in hospital. Ideas have been generated for a new networked system for remote care that enables people with CF to manage their condition with less medical help.
