Our brief: How can Barclaycard use open innovation to help reposition Barclays as the ‘Go-To Bank’?
What we did: We used internal and external stakeholder interviews, strategic analysis and desk research to develop as open innovation blueprint for sourcing new mobile payment technologies for small businesses.
What happened: We concluded that open innovation could increase Barclaycard’s agility and relevance, and that interesting new service providers might even be found within Barclaycard’s existing customer base. Our recommendations were accepted in full and are helping to inform the future direction of Barclaycard.
